Dearest Friends,

These spells are easy and fun for everyone, regardless of your religious affiliations. They are designed to assist you in your everyday life, and will help you to believe in your own personal power. I’m so happy to be back with you for our Fall/ Winter season!!  Beginning with Samhain or summer's end, who doesn’t love Halloween) the night when the veil between this world & the next is the thinnest!!  Originally a day to pay homage to our ancestors, we celebrate the harvest, and the festival of the dead. All sorts of merriment prevails! Next is Thanksgiving where we are happy to give thanks for those we love & to our Mother Earth, which has provided this bounty, we receive. Finally, Christmas the celebration of the birth of Christ, and for those of us who celebrate Yule, which means the dark half of the year relinquishes to the light half of the year!  Solstice night (or Winter Solstice), which is the longest night of the year, is on Dec. 21st. Chanukah, which is the Jewish festival of lights, is also celebrated. Finally the New Year, when we bid goodbye to the old year and usher in a new one and a new beginning! So we do have many times to enjoy with friends & family as we settle in for winter! HOW TO MAKE GOODLUCK/JOB OIL

*You will need: ground allspice, ground cinnamon, ground sage, dried dill, olive oil, a pot, frying pan or cauldron to warm your spice mixture in, and a tea strainer or fine sieve.

*Warm the olive oil on low and add the herb mixture, let it warm until fragrant. Allow to cool and pour the mixture through a tea strainer or fine sieve. Use when you need more luck, a good attitude, or when you are going on a job interview. Rub a bit on your doorways and windowsills to keep good luck inside your house!

THE SEVEN DAY LUCK SPELL

*You will need: a black 7 day candle, a saucer or shallow bowl, a candle snuffer, parchment paper, dragon’s blood ink (gives power to spells), a fountain pen or quill, a lighter, and water.

*Fill the saucer or shallow bowl with water. On the piece of parchment paper write the things you most desire with the dragon’s blood ink– love, money, a job, etc. Fold the paper and put it on the saucer (yes with the water). Now place your 7-day candle on top of the paper and water and light it. Each night before you go to sleep, visualize your desires being obtained. On the seventh day, snuff out the candle and dispose of it, getting it away from your property.

*Note: Black candles are used for ‘breaking through’ those obstacles that are preventing you from obtaining your desires. This spell may be customized by using different colored candles depending on your desires - pink or red for love, purple for spirituality, and so on. **A candle should never be unattended, so please exert caution and light your candle while you are at home either for an hour or two every day for seven days, put it in a place where you know that it will be safe, or light it for an hour or two every days or leave it in a safe flame proof area where you know it will not be disturbed.

BLESSED SLEEP MIXTURES & AMULETS

*Mix equal parts of essential oils of lavender, vervain, allspice, pine, orange peel, and chamomile. Keep the mixture in bedroom and inhale before you go to sleep.

*Place crushed garlic under the bed to frighten away bad dreams.

*Empower a stuffed animal for a child that acts as a guard against nightmares.

*Hang a dream catcher over your bed to catch the bad dreams & transform them into good ones.

*Add a sprinkle of Angelica to all wash water for nightclothes and sheets to exorcise any negativity. Especially good for the sick.

*Place an Amethyst on the night table! Amethyst is well known for soaking up negativity.

*Spread some protection oil mixed with lavender oil in your bedroom to protect and sweeten your sleep and dreams.
